Annual Dinner Dance

South Hills High School Alumni Association

Annual Hall of Fame/Scholarship Dinner Dances are the last Saturday in April.

Reservation Form

On April 28, 1962, at the Penn Sheraton in downtown Pittsburgh, over 500 SHHS teachers, students and alumni attended the first SHHSAA annual dinner dance.  There they honored Mr. Ed Mazeski, Miss Stella Price and Principal Mr. Fred Glaser.  The second annual dinner-dance was held on April 27, 1963 and honored alumni Congressman Robert G. Fulton, Mr. Robert Arthur and Mr. Paul Kurtz.

The annual dances continued with many years having both spring and winter dances.    And here we are, 55+ years later, still upholding our proud traditions and heritage – holding dances, recognizing our achievers, and awarding scholarships!  Having a good time and enjoying each other’s company has been a key part of the success of the organization.
